It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Allen Knowles, a cherished father, chef, and adventurer, who left us on December 1, 2023. His infectious laughter, culinary artistry, and love for the sea touched the lives of all who knew him, and his legacy will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

Christopher was the devoted father of Emily and James, whom he adored and guided with unshakable love and support. He found immense joy in teaching his children about the wonders of life, from preparing exquisite meals to exploring the ocean’s mysteries.

As a man of remarkable talent, Christopher was known for his passion for cooking and his ability to create dishes that celebrated the flavors of the Bahamas. His work as the head chef at Tides Restaurant in Nassau brought him recognition and admiration, both locally and internationally. Guests traveled from far and wide to experience his signature conch chowder and tropical fusion cuisine.

Beyond his career, Christopher was an adventurer at heart, spending his free time snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, and sailing the turquoise waters he loved so dearly. His connection to the ocean was profound, and it inspired many of his recipes and stories shared with loved ones.

Christopher leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and creativity that will forever shine in the hearts of his family and all who were fortunate to know him. His life was a testament to the joy of following one’s passion and sharing it with others, and his memory will be cherished by all whose lives he touched.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Christopher’s life will be held at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in George Town, Exuma, on December 8, 2023. Family, friends, and all whose lives he impacted are invited to come together to remember and pay tribute to an extraordinary man whose spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

As we grieve this tremendous loss, we also take comfort in the enduring legacy Christopher has left behind and find solace in the countless beautiful memories that will forever hold him close.
