It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Naomi Celeste Cooper, a loving wife, mother, and advocate, who left us on December 5, 2023. Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering dedication to her family and community touched the lives of all who knew her, and her legacy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

Naomi was a devoted wife to her husband, Matthew, with whom she shared 18 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving home and raised their two daughters, Leila and Sophia, instilling in them the values of kindness, strength, and perseverance.

As a woman of remarkable character, Naomi was known for her boundless energy and her ability to bring people together. Whether she was hosting family barbecues by the beach or organizing events for her community, Naomi’s vibrant spirit created lasting connections and unforgettable memories.

Her passion extended beyond her family, as she was deeply involved in youth mentorship and women’s empowerment programs in Abaco. Naomi’s advocacy work for young girls provided opportunities for growth and education, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives. She found joy in sharing her love for Bahamian culture and traditions through storytelling and dance.

Naomi leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will forever shine in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate to know her. Her life was a testament to the power of community and resilience, and her memory will be cherished by all whose lives she touched.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Naomi’s life will be held at St. Francis de Sales Church in Marsh Harbour on December 12, 2023. Family, friends, and all whose lives she impacted are invited to come together to remember and pay tribute to an extraordinary woman whose spirit will forever remain in our hearts.

As we grieve this tremendous loss, we also take comfort in the enduring legacy Naomi has left behind and find solace in the countless beautiful memories that will forever hold her close.
